The Queen has spoken!
Sometimes, I just have to say things. Here's what I have to say today. What do you think?
Happiness and Disappointment

The last three days have been very tiring, but oh so rewarding.  I have been teaching a web design course with a colleague and the results have been fantastic.  I should say, that the site you are on was created using html back in 1998.  I did not use any fancy software; I am sure that is evident.  But now, I am teaching Dreamweaver, a very powerful piece of software, and the teachers who are creating sites for the first time are doing a great job. I am so please.

Now as far as disappointment........my daughter will be attending college in Italy for the fall semester.  I had spoken to some of my superiors about going to Florence to visit her in November.  Both were excited for me, one even giving me hotel recommendations and other places I should visit.  But I have been denied the leave by my superintendent, who has stated that I would be missing too much school, and that it was not an emergency.  I will only be missing 4 days of each class, and in my mind, it is an important thing for me to do.  She will be gone nearly 4 months; my husband and I would like to break up her time and visit her.  We will not be at Disney World, hanging upside down on a rollercoaster.  We will be with my daughter in a foreign country.  I can't possibly do that on a long weekend.  Plus, I have set up a blog with which to communicate with my classes.  I am so bummed....but I am not finished pleading my case........wish me luck.

I can't believe that they are giving you a hard time about caroline and you guys visiting her. Don't you have personal days that you can use for personal reasons??? does not make sense to me, has she left yet? Well good luck in the quest for mommy and daughter time in italy...miss ya!

I've written him a letter, staeing all of the things I do above and beyond my contract. The District loves these thins and even expects these things of me now....they just don't pay me for them. So if he's going by the contract, he needs to realize that I go beyond. I have designed the web site for the junior high, the English department, designed and printed 80 schedules for my building, way to many things to write here. We'll see what happenes. I am sure I will make him angry when he gets the letter this morning. What have I got to lose now?
